Newcastle society for the blind finds suspected cases of abuse have tripled in the last two years. The charity refers at least one person per week to further help.Lilian Avison had 10,000 stolen when a bank cashier closed her savings account by forging her signature. Margaret Lester believes that the rise could also be contributed to increased training to help spot people with sight problems
