A famous writers desk that was sold 20 years ago is now on the market again after being restored by a social enterprise.

The desk belonged to Catherine Cookson the famous author who died in 1998 aged 91. The author who was born in the region had her first novel published in 1950 and her books have sold more than 123 million copies.

The social enterprise Lydia's House resorted the desk which will now go on sale in Newcastle for £5,500.
